The Air I Breathe

Derisory

In a colossal universe of you.

I am but minutiae

A particle of sand

Trying to find its place;

Lost

Without your desert to cling to.

My quintessence endangered

Of vanishing from existence

Without your assiduous realization

That I am here

Besotted with you.

You take of me

Strands of vibrancy

Sun rays of spirit

And dance with them

In a chorus of light.

I am encapsulated

By the warmth

Of my everlasting

Ardor.

Visited at every corner of my mind

By the chaos

Of you.

The scent of reminiscence

In your hair

Suffocates my atmosphere.

But you are also

My oxygen.
