Seriously

Gazing upon the light of day
Feeling it's warmth surround me
Hearing the angels speak your name
In the birds' songs all around me
Listening to the memories stirring
In the depths and corners of my mind
Of kisses, of times of love occurring

Back when your love was kind.
I wish each day that you would hear me
Speak my heart to win your soul
Telling you how I miss you dearly

And all our times of old.
Instead, my words fall on deaf ears
You close them to my pleading
I realize that my greatest fear is,
You're not even reading
This poem I wrote so you'd understand
That I still love you deliriously
But I'll be unloved, ignored, and banned
From your heart.. Not taken
Seriously.
