Love Like Theirs

LONER.jpg

The flames of their fire

Give rise to inspire

My heart to break free

From the Pain;

My prayers still inquire

And I still aspire

To be not of this world

In Vain.

Though love was a liar

My soul has desire

To move forward

And seek out the truth;

For my need is dire

So I will not tire

Of seeking true love

Like a sleuth.

Their love takes them higher

Can’t help but admire

How cupid took hold

Of their fate;

Will anyone conspire

To help me acquire

Love like theirs

Before it’s too late?

I’m sinking in mire

Afraid I’ll expire

Before love will ever

Come find me;

I’m down to the wire

Just want to respire

And leave my unloved past

Behind me.
