If Only

If only

I possessed

All the beauty in the world

You could look at me

Without hesitation

And know

For certain

That you love me.

The abounding locks

Of my flowing hair

Would beckon you

To behold me.

The sleekness

And luminosity

Of my glowing skin

Would summon you

Into my arms

At once.

The vitality

Of my

Shimmering existence

Would enchant you

Showering your mind

With reminders

That you can

Never leave.

The radiance

And the lustrous

Flecks of my eyes

Would capture you

And hold you

In my captivity

For eternity.

My inner beauty

Would flow out of me

Like the river

Wide

Surrounding me

In brilliance

And splendor

That would

Eradicate

Your reluctance

To regard me.

Your constant

Fascination

Fixation

Infatuation

Would

Sustain me

Forever.

I would live

There

In your eyes;

My sustenance

Reliant upon

The reflection

I see

Of myself

In you...

If only.
