Betrayal

He wishes

With all of his might

That I would just

Disappear

Already.

HIs life

Could be

So much

Simpler.

Yet

I die

So

Damn

Slowly

My heartbeat

Is steady

My existence; bitter

In his mouth

Like vinegar.

He just wants

His freedom

My love

Chokes his

Breath

Our memories

Jail his mind

He’s my

Prisoner.

Why’d he have to

Make a family?

Why can’t

She just

Seek death

She is not

His mother

Nor his minister

Yet it never

Occurs to her

To just leave him

In sin

HIs devices

HIs indulgences

Bring pleasure

Her hope in him

Her faith in him

Refuse to cease

Why not condemn?

At least then

He’d be rid of all

The pressure.

He’s bleeding

Inside out

The blood is

All her

Confidence

He is bursting

From the weight

Of it

His desire is

Godlessness

His patience

Grows thin

Each time he

Sees her

Again

If only

Looks could kill

The staring contest

Would begin

Will someone

Please

Tell her

He can’t take this

Anymore?

I would give up, but

His latest victim’s

Not just any whore..

She was thought to be

Compassionate

Once upon a time

But now thinks

Harming families

Cannot really be

A crime

I’d die for you;

I tried it once

But it ain’t

Yah’s

Design

So, I’ll

Quietly

Step away

And pray

While Satan

Has a good time

Chances rained down

With repentance

But all you’ll ever

Do

Is run

What’s worse

Your indiscretions..

Heard about them

From our son

Each of your victims

Thinks she’s

Special

They find you

And think

They've won..

I’m the only winner

This time

I found Christ

And now..

I’m done.
