How I wonder where you are

A rare

And wondrous 

Shooting Star

You stay for moments

Then you're 

Gone

A sweet

But short

Melodious song

A firefly

In 

A child's hand

Held;

But destined 

Free again

Your visits 

Always 

Sweet surprises..

You fade 

When someone 

Realizes

That you've 

Come

To bring them 

Joy

You're like a

Paradise

Decoy..

Led to believe

They're finally

Free..

A temporary 

Flame

Inevitably..

A statue's 

Kismet

Admiration

Your 

Existence

Purely 

Adoration

For a moment

In time,

Your Kiss

Sublime

Your 

Disappearance

Such a crime

"Please stay,"

They say, 

But then you

Leave..

Your victims

Left there 

To bereave

Your presence 

Lost

They've paid the

Cost

Remnants 

Eternally 

Embossed

They're

Drawn to You

Forevermore..

Anticipating

Your 

Encore
