Anniv-Hurts-Ary, Part 2

Today was like a miracle 

I didn’t dial your phone 

It will be midnight in two hours 

I’ll have reached a new milestone 

Every year, my curiosity 

Would get the best of me 

To see if you forgot 

About our previous destiny 

But I now have a new vow to keep 

Seeking things I can improve on 

If I stay cemented in the past 

There’s no way I can move on 

During my nap this afternoon 

Saw a new man in my dreams 

His face looked not at all like you 

Seems my mind has changed its themes 

I must admit... It’s not the future 

I’d had in my plans  

The point; I’m finding, to this life 

Is to leave it in Yah’s hands 

Two things left regarding this  

That can change me for the better 

To open myself up to love; 

And if she wants to keep you 

I’ll let her.
