addicted

addiction painting.jpg

open wounds
scrapes and cuts
broken hearts
and
severed trust
pretty costumes,
hidden faces..
wearing masks
to hide the
traces
of the
virtue
once existing
now,
sullied waters
dark;
persisting...
pollute the
rivers
of their
souls;
light escapes,
corruption
controls..
thorns
submerge
from
supple skin
concealing
preciousness
within
they've
lost
the will
to
Love
with care;
they breathe,
their
virus
stains
the air
contagion,
sickness,
quickly spread
each one
they touched;
inside,
are dead
now,
beauty
suffers;
transparent
to sight
it lives
to be
seen,
but their
eyes
are
shut tight..
blinding
rays
of
deception
reduce them
to
their sins,
their desires...
their own
libidos
seduce them
they're searching
for heaven,
but they're looking
on earth..
therein
lies the
problem..
the solution:
rebirth
May Yahweh
restore them
to the
days of
Eden;
to before
the forbidden
fruit
was eaten
my prayer
for them
to find
redemption
before
the
time comes
for
ascension
may Christ lead the
Way
to the
narrow path
May they

narrowly
escape
Yahweh's
great
wrath;
unaware
their pain
is
self-inflicted..
not cursed
not doomed..
they're just
addicted.
