A New Me

I once felt lost,

small, shattered

and forgotten...

Deteriorated;

Broken...

Intrinsically rotten...

I wept uncontrollably;

lost sight of the horizon

Convinced the sun

Would never come...

Though it was surely rising;

Confused the darkness

With the Light

that comes with a new day;

Still, I couldn't understand

How I had lost my way...

Until I felt

the cozy warmth

that soothed my chilly soul;

My Savior called me nigh

and brought
me in from freezing cold.

My Joy is everlasting

My Destiny in place;

Yeshua took my hurt

And drew a smile

upon my face.

My distant past is fleeting;

My jubilation sure...

My blindness was my

Sickness...

And Yeshua is the cure.
