Hello. My name is Amaris the Poet.

Like many of you reading this, I have been through some very high highs; as well as the lowest of lows. This website was created to reflect on the changes I have been through. They have made me who I am today. 

​

I feel that it is imperative to embrace the lows; right along with the highs..

The lows take us into a realm of darkness that can only lead to light. And, as some of us have learned; darkness is a temporary place, to which the dawn is inevitable.

The rain will fall at times.. And the sky will be overcast with formidable clouds.. But the sun always returns. 

​

And perhaps, the sunrise won't look exactly how we imagined it in our minds..

Perhaps the horizon will hold different colors than we visualize..  But, rest assured, that when we call on Yahweh during our troubled times, the way those colors materialize before us, will be even more beautiful than anything we could possibly conceive.  

​

I was totally lost once. 

​

I had lost total sight of the horizon before me. The fog was so thick; I couldn't see inside of myself; let alone what was going on around me. I was walking around aimlessly, no purpose, no sense of direction.. My compass was non-existent. 

 

It was then that inexorable patience set into my spirit.. 

​

To panic, would only emphasize the pressure I was under.

To give up on myself, would only eradicate my will to go on living.

To harbor self-pity, was more likely to attract negative attention from others, before it would help them empathize with me.. So, I was forced to choose a destination opposite from the one I had envisioned for myself..

​

And that road took me to new heights.

​

Now, I am breathing..

Now, I am living; rather than merely existing.

Now, I can see a future where there was none in my perspective before.

And my plan; my hope, and my endeavor.. Is to let you know that, if you have felt like this, you are not alone.

 

And you can find ambition.. even when you feel you're in the midst of perdition. 

Just grab onto Yahweh's mission, and stay focused on His vision.

Listen to the Holy Spirit like you do to intuition.

Then, no matter your position, even if you're out of commission,

Yahweh is your physician. Your soul's source of nutrition.

And when your path is getting hazy, full of juxtaposition;

Remember that His love will give your life definition.

Go near to Him with humility, prayer and petition;

In time, He will substantiate your words into fruition.

Don't give in to intimidation from the evil opposition..

Embrace change for the better..

Eliminate repetition.

I won't tell you how to live; it's ultimately your decision..

But iron always sharpens iron..

Yahweh sharpens with precision.
